WGA Negotitator Mark Gunn Talks About The Strike

As an artist, I feel it is my responsibility to support other artists. Unless you have been living under a rock lately, you are aware that the Writer's Guild have gone on strike in order to renegotiate the terms of their contracts for "new media" (internet media). They aren't asking for tons of cash, just a fair share of the profit.

Mark Gunn, writer, board member, and negotiator for the WGA, was interviewed yesterday on FilmNut. He can explain things far better than I. So check out this interview and get informed.

Be A Supervillain & Reign Supreme

So I'm about to launch into my next animated short entitled, "Be a Supervillain and Reign Supreme In 10 Days or Less". It's a two minute, 3D animated infomercial spoof. And yes, the title is copyrighted, so don't be getting any funny ideas.

It's based on those wonderful old Goofy cartoons like "How to Swim" and "How to Play Football"...there's this wonderful voiceover and Goofy always manages to mess things up. It's animation at it's purest and they are part of my childhood. It is also based on, what else? Infomercials. Infomercials are truly funny....whatever is being sold is gauranteed to change your life. Why get your hands dirty working to fix your problems when just four easy payments of $19.95 will do it for you?

So, the script is finalized and storyboards are done...now I begin designing the environments and working on the animatic. Keep checking back, I'll be posting updates here!

Beginnings

So, here it is...my very own website to show off my very own work! Please bear in mind, dear guests, that this website is not 100% yet. I am adding more work to my galleries and more information to my pages. You'll notice a biography is missing and this is not because of my secretive nature and I am not in the witness protection program (although I DID witness a rather blatant act of jaywalking the other day). Life is a little busy at the moment with some very time consuming projects and work. So check back on a regular basis and you may find some surprises here and there!
